Hello! Iām Eunae Ji.
I am Korean native and immigrated to the United States in my high school years. During volunteering as a performer in International Festival and as a presenter in Korean Cultural Booth, I developed a profound interest in traditional Korean instruments and have since been studying under the guidance of esteemed mentors.
Seeking to elevate my musical expertise, I searched universities offering specialized music programs. This led me to discover a music major at Meredith College, which allows me to concentrate on general music that can help me to understand basic concept of Korean music. I transferred from Wake Tech Community College to Meredith College, where I graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in Music.
Upon completing my degree at Meredith College, my plan is to further my studies in Korean music-focused ethnomusicology at a graduate school, potentially at UNC Chapel Hill or Duke University.
Looking ahead, my five-year goal is to become a college professor teaching Korean music and traditional Korean instruments.
